ThinkING about running the New York Marathon as I have mentioned before. They have 37,000 slots. They get some 100,000 or so applications. It’s a lottery. But they will guarantee you entry if you run for a charity. They list a couple of charities like Fred’s Team and some others. It’s a great way to make sure you get to run, but it sure sounds mercenary.
Do you get credit in heaven for good deeds done with ulterior motives?
