Today I Am...Overwhelmed

"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke. But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate. So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late." - Bob Dylan, "All Along The Watchtower"

"If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, He is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain." 1 Timothy 6:3-5

The controversies and quarrels of the Net about Christianity are simply overwhelming. The level of intolerance and lowness of discourse is disheartening. The feuds and schisms. The divisiveness. Its crazy out there.

There's too much confusion...

Today, I think I am suffering from theological overload.

Namaste.

Christianity isn't very atractive on the web, is it? My solution seems to be staying only at blogs or websites with generosity of spirit--Holy Spirit, in fact! If I start reading the controversies, I seriously risk relapse into anger, pain, fear, and depression. I just go elsewhere, trusting my God given conscience to discern spaces where we can grow rather than wither.
You are a good student of the Bible, good references to connect with your feelings and doings!
