It is easy to believe in god, to trust in god, to have faith, when all is going well. When you have a job and money. But what if you don't or what if you might not? Worried about financial stuff tonight but...
Psalm 62:10 says: "...if riches increase, set not your heart upon them."
It is an old cliche that money can't buy happiness or even security or much of anything, really. Once you have met your basic needs of food, shelter and clothing, happiness comes from someplace else.
Luke 12:22- 23: He said to his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing."
And of course Luke 12:25: "And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?"
Something for me to ponder tonight.
Namaste.
